REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will take place at Oak Hill High School every Monday evening from September 8 to December 8. November 24 is Thanksgiving week; there will be no rehearsal that day.

    • 7:00-8:30 Regular Rehearsal - Symphony
  • Monday September 22 Last day for Late Auditions
  • Monday October 6 Tuition money due
  • Monday November 24 No rehearsal

EVENTS

Saturday, December 6 - 6:30 p.m. Our first winter concert will be at Tamarack in Beckley at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2008. The New River Youth Chorus will present its winter program, with a variety of classical and Christmas songs, including selections from Handel's Messiah. The Symphony's Violin Trio & the Brass Ensemble will also perform.

Saturday, December 13 - 7:00 p.m. Our second winter concert at the Historic Fayette Theatre will crown Fayetteville's annual Christmas Festival, taking place at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13. The New River Youth Chorus & Symphony will perform classical and holiday favorites, including Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride.

string cards

All members of the New River Youth Symphony and Chorus have free admission via "string cards" to the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra Symphonic Series, Family Discovery Series, and Montclaire String Quartet concerts
