REHEARSALS

The new season will begin on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church* in Prosperity. The Youth Chorus rehearsal is at 5:30-6:45 pm, and the Youth Symphony rehearsal will follow at 6:50-8:15 pm. Regular Monday rehearsals for Youth Chorus and Youth Symphony will continue throughout the season, except for May 5.

Children's Chorus and Emerging Strings will meet at Fayetteville Christ Fellowship Church** for rehearsal on Mondays throughout the season. The first rehearsal for Emerging Strings will be on Monday, March 3. The first rehearsal for Children's Chorus will be on Monday, March 10. Emerging Strings and Children's Chorus will both rehearse at 5:30-6:30 pm.

New students for the Youth Symphony will audition at 6:00 on March 3. Audition music and scale / rudiment to practice for your audition are posted in the Latest News section of each webpage.

AUDITIONS

All new students are required to audition for the Youth Symphony.

All returning students are required to re-audition for seating at the beginning of the fall season, except for bassoon, bass clarinet, bari sax, double bass.

Auditions will consist of: Scale or Rudiment, Audition Etude, Sightreading

DIRECTIONS

 *Directions to Faith Baptist Church, 480 Prosperity Road, Prosperity, WV:

 Going south from Crossroads Mall ... Because the north end of Prosperity Road is closed for a few months to repair a washout, you will need to go 1-1/2 miles to the south end of Prosperity Road (the green water tower) and make a very sharp (150-degree) right turn, then go one mile to the church. GPS shows the detour. Or if the turn is too sharp for you, go past the south end of Prosperity Road to the next stoplight, turn around in the Cranberry Elementary School parking lot, and go a half mile back to the green water tower at Prosperity Road, turn left, and go one mile. The church will be on your right.

 Going north from Golden Corral in Beckley, go two miles to the green water tower at Prosperity Road, turn left, and go one mile. The church will be on your right.

  **Directions to Fayetteville Christ Fellowship Church, 2855 Maple Avenue, Fayetteville, WV:

 From the South (Beckley) on Route 19, at the stoplight after the Lochgelly Oak Hill exit, just past the Fayette Square shopping center, turn right onto Appalachian Drive. Go one block to the stop sign, turn left onto Route 16, go 0.3 mile, and turn left (up the hill) onto Maple Avenue, also known as Airport Road or Nickelville Road. The first driveway on the right is Fayetteville Christ Fellowship Church. You will see the red roof as you get close.

 From the North (Summersville) on Route 19, not far past the Fayetteville Walmart on your left, at the stoplight before the Fayette Square shopping center on your right, turn left onto Appalachian Drive. Go one block to the stop sign, turn left onto Route 16, go 0.3 mile, and turn left (up the hill) onto Maple Avenue, also known as Airport Road or Nickelville Road. The first driveway on the right is Fayetteville Christ Fellowship Church. You will see the red roof as you get close.
